Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Start Date: Sept 2025 - end of academic year
Location: Southwark, London - excellent transport links!
Type: 33.75 hours per week. 4 days 8:30 - 3:45 and 1 day 9am-6pm

Salary: £110 per day which may increase after 12 weeks

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or ECT (Early Career Teacher) looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive primary school environment? We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a small Primary School in Kennington, Southwark to support children in a Year 2/ 3 class.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering learning to individuals, small groups and whole class as and when required
Lead class and delivering curriculum for all planned absences and allow time for class teacher to plan and mark
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Ideal Higher Level Teaching Assistant:

Either a Level 4 + qualification or equivalent
Experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role such as a Early Career Teacher
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for education and a commitment to fostering student growth and development.
