Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Dagenham. With excellent facilities and a strong sense of community, the school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis for the academic year.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting children with:
- Autism (ASD), including non-verbal communication
- ADHD
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Training in PECS is desirable but not essential.
Role Overview
- Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Location: Dagenham (well-connected by car with the school having a car park and public transport)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Full academic year (term-time only, full-time hours 8:30 - 3:30)
- Pay: From £90 per day (PAYE - paid weekly)
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development
- Team player with the ability to follow guidance from teachers and the SENCO
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Compliance Requirements
Applicants must provide:
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (Update Service or new application)
- Full CV with explained employment gaps
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- Two recent professional references
- Proof of address and identity documents
