Salary: £90 - £105 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
About the Role
Tradewind Education is recruiting a dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide targeted behavioural support for a pupil in a supportive primary school in Camden. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with patience, resilience, and a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
You will work on a 1:1 basis, supporting a child with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping them to manage their behaviour, regulate emotions, and engage positively with classroom learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 behaviour support to a primary-aged pupil.
Implement effective behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
Support the pupil in accessing the curriculum and achieving personal goals.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to provide tailored support.
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
At least 6 months' experience working in a UK primary school or SEND provision (essential).
Proven experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or additional needs.
Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
Patience, resilience, and the ability to build positive relationships.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
