Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Secondary School - Wellingborough Area
Start Date: ASAP
Full-Time | Long-Term (potential for permanent role)
Pay: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting young people in their education? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a highly regarded and inclusive secondary school in the Wellingborough area that is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team as soon as possible.

The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll be working closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting them both in the classroom and during intervention sessions. You will assist students with a range of needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. You'll also work collaboratively with teaching staff and the SEN department to help maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting students with special educational needs or additional learning needs

  • Assisting in-class with lesson delivery and behaviour management

  • Working one-to-one or in small groups to reinforce learning

  • Contributing to progress reports and feedback for teaching staff

  • Promoting independence, confidence, and positive attitudes towards learning


The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience working with secondary-aged students or young people

  • Be patient, adaptable, and confident in managing behaviour positively

  • Have a genuine interest in supporting students with additional needs

  • Be a strong communicator and team player

  • Hold or be willing to apply for a DBS on the Update Service
