Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Wellingborough
Start Date: ASAP
Full-Time | Long-Term (potential for permanent placement)
Pay: £90-£110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Wellingborough area that is looking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and supporting young people. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the SEND team to help students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students in class, both 1:1 and in small groups

  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities

  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND and SEMH

Requirements:

  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience working in a secondary school or with young people

  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learners

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
