Biology Teacher - Hounslow, London

A welcoming and high-performing secondary school in the Hounslow area is seeking a Biology Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a long-term role that will run until at least July 2026, with the potential to extend or become permanent for the right candidate.
The position is full-time, but the school may consider part-time applications. Working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Salary will be based on Outer London MPS/UPS pay scales.
On-site parking is available for staff members.

Biology Teacher - Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Biology lessons across KS3, KS4, and A-Level.

  • Create a dynamic and supportive classroom environment that encourages scientific inquiry and academic excellence.

  • Develop and implement practical experiments and demonstrations to reinforce theoretical knowledge.

  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, tailoring support to meet individual learning needs.

  • Promote a love of science and support students in preparing for university and future STEM careers.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in Biology or a related field

  • Excellent subject knowledge, particularly at A-Level

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • A passion for inspiring the next generation of scientists
