Biology Teacher - Hounslow, London
A welcoming and high-performing secondary school in the Hounslow area is seeking a Biology Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a long-term role that will run until at least July 2026, with the potential to extend or become permanent for the right candidate.
The position is full-time, but the school may consider part-time applications. Working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Salary will be based on Outer London MPS/UPS pay scales.
On-site parking is available for staff members.
Biology Teacher - Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and differentiated Biology lessons across KS3, KS4, and A-Level.
Create a dynamic and supportive classroom environment that encourages scientific inquiry and academic excellence.
Develop and implement practical experiments and demonstrations to reinforce theoretical knowledge.
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, tailoring support to meet individual learning needs.
Promote a love of science and support students in preparing for university and future STEM careers.

Qualifications and Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Biology or a related field
Excellent subject knowledge, particularly at A-Level
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
A passion for inspiring the next generation of scientists
