About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school, This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or experienced technician with a passion for science and supporting teaching staff in delivering engaging lessons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing, setting up, and maintaining science equipment for practical experiments.

  • Supporting teachers in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons.

  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed in the lab at all times.

  • Managing stock levels and ordering resources when required.

  • Assisting in the maintenance of laboratories and preparation rooms.

  • Providing technical advice to both staff and students.

Requirements

  • A Science-related degree (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field) OR relevant laboratory/technician experience.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of health and safety in a laboratory setting.

  • Previous experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
