💼 Pay: £90 per day (rising to £116 after 12 weeks)

SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting on behalf of a large, inclusive primary school for a Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team located in Stamford Hill, Hackney.

This role will be based in a Year 1 class, with a particular focus on supporting three children with high-functioning ASD. The school is looking for a caring, patient, and proactive practitioner who can provide tailored support to help these pupils thrive both academically and socially.

Your role will include:

Working in a Year 1 classroom, supporting the class teacher.

Providing targeted support to three children with high-functioning ASD.

Helping pupils to access learning and develop their social and emotional skills.

Promoting independence and building confidence in small steps.

Collaborating with the wider staff team to ensure consistent, effective support.

About you:

Experience of working with children with SEND, ideally ASD.

A nurturing and positive approach to learning and behaviour.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly.

Resilient, adaptable, and committed to making a difference.
