Job Description

A thriving secondary school in Waltham Forest is looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students across a variety of subjects. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to develop a career in education.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be a key part of the classroom team. You'll provide hands-on support to students, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated, while also assisting teachers to deliver lessons that are both accessible and inspiring.

This role is ideal for someone with patience, flexibility, and strong communication skills. You don't need extensive classroom experience, but you do need a proactive attitude and a willingness to get involved.

Pay: £95 - £105 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Starting ASAP and running until July 2026, with a strong possibility of extension or permanent appointment from September 2026

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing in-class support across core subjects
  • Supporting students who require extra help to stay on track
  • Building strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and a culture of achievement
