Premises Manager - Secondary School - Hackney

A large and forward-thinking secondary school in Hackney is seeking a skilled Premises Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of their school site.

You will be responsible for ensuring the site runs efficiently, leading the maintenance team, and working closely with senior staff to keep the school a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.

This is a hands-on role, requiring excellent organisational skills, practical problem-solving ability, and strong leadership qualities. The successful candidate will be confident managing budgets, supervising contractors, and ensuring the school remains compliant with all health and safety standards.

Pay: £17 - £20 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Starting ASAP and running until July 2026, with a strong possibility of extension or permanent appointment from September 2026

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the premises and site management team
  • Coordinating maintenance schedules and emergency repairs
  • Managing budgets and liaising with external contractors
  • Maintaining compliance with safeguarding and health & safety legislation
