Salary: £90 - £115 per day (PAYE, DOE)
Behaviour Mentor - SEMH Secondary School, Brent
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a resilient and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a Secondary SEMH School in Brent from September 2025.
The school provides a structured, nurturing and supportive environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ASD, ADHD and other behavioural challenges, helping them to re-engage with education and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities Include:
Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group interventions across Key Stages 3 and 4
Supporting pupils to manage emotions and behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
De-escalating challenging situations calmly and effectively
Working closely with teachers and support staff to implement personalised learning and behaviour plans
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working with young people with challenging behaviour, ideally in a PRU, SEMH or SEND setting
Strong knowledge of behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
A calm, patient and empathetic approach with the ability to build positive relationships
Relevant qualifications in education or youth work are desirable (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
Team Teach, MAPA or similar training is highly advantageous
