Graduate Drama Teacher - Northampton
Location: Northampton
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Salary: £95-£120 per day (dependent on experience)

We're working with a number of welcoming and creative secondary schools in Northampton, who are seeking enthusiastic Drama Graduates to step into Graduate Drama Teacher roles this September 2025. Whether you're looking to pursue a future in teaching or gain hands-on experience in a school setting, this is a fantastic opportunity to bring your creativity into the classroom.
As a Graduate Drama Teacher, you'll be supporting the delivery of engaging Drama lessons, helping students build confidence, and contributing to a lively performing arts environment. You'll also gain valuable classroom experience that can support future teacher training applications.
What You'll Be Doing:
Assisting in the planning and delivery of Drama lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4
Leading small group activities, improvisation tasks, and performance-based exercises
Supporting school productions, drama clubs, and enrichment activities
Encouraging creativity, self-expression, and teamwork among students
Managing classroom behaviour and helping to create a positive learning environment
Gaining real classroom experience in preparation for a career in teaching or theatre education
This Role is Perfect For:
Drama or Performing Arts graduates with a passion for education
Aspiring teachers seeking valuable school-based experience before applying for a PGCE, SCITT, or other teacher training route
Confident communicators with experience in youth work, theatre groups, tutoring, or mentoring
Creative and proactive individuals ready to take on responsibility and inspire students
