Teaching Assistant - BSL focus - Peterborough
£90 - £100 per day | Full-time | Immediate Start
Are you looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant position working in a specialist Deaf Hub in Peterborough?
Do you have previous experience working with children and young people with hearing impairments, or a qualification in BSL?
As a teaching assistant working with hearing impaired students, you will work closely with the SENCO to deliver tailored support using British Sign Language (BSL), helping pupils overcome barriers and develop throughout their learning journey.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children/young people with hearing impairments
- Knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL)
- British Sign Language (BSL) is desirable
- A proactive, reliable, and flexible attitude
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in education and helping students succeed
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
