Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Salary: £95 - £105 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a number of inclusive and supportive mainstream and specialist schools in Kettering who are seeking SEND Teaching Assistants to join their teams. About the Role:
As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social-emotional needs, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD). You'll be working 1:1 or in small groups to support pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them access the curriculum and engage with school life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 or small group basis
• Implementing EHCP targets and individual learning plans
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Collaborating with class teachers and SENCOs
• Encouraging independence and confidence in pupils
• Assisting with personal care (where required)

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• A caring, patient and flexible approach
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
