Are you an experienced and engaging English Teacher with a passion for post-16 education? Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-regarded college in Northampton to recruit a dedicated and inspiring educator to deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills to learners aged 16+.
This role is ideal for a teacher who thrives in an inclusive, learner-focused environment and is confident in adapting their teaching methods to meet the varied needs of students-many of whom may be resitting their English qualifications or returning to education through vocational pathways.
About the Role:
Teach GCSE English Language and/or Functional Skills to students aged 16-19
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to student abilities
Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and support learners in achieving success
Collaborate with other teaching and support staff to enhance learning outcomes
Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent post-16 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd/DET)
Experience teaching English at GCSE or Functional Skills level
Confidence working with diverse student groups, including those with additional needs
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
A genuine passion for helping young people progress in their education
