We are a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Barking & Dagenham seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our pastoral team.

The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Work closely with students to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.

  • Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring, helping students to develop strategies to manage their behaviour.

  • Support teachers in maintaining a positive classroom environment.

  • Act as a role model, building strong relationships and encouraging personal growth.

  • Help to implement behaviour policies and restorative approaches across the school.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people, ideally in a school or youth work setting.

  • Is patient, calm, and solution-focused.

  • Can build trust and inspire students to make positive choices.
