A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Wellingborough is seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour and Inclusion Mentor to join their pastoral team on a maternity cover basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring for students with behavioural, emotional, or social needs
Support the implementation of the school's behaviour and inclusion strategies
Build positive relationships to encourage student engagement and self-regulation
Assist with internal behaviour support and reintegration processes
Work closely with pastoral leads, teaching staff, and external agencies
Promote a calm, safe and inclusive school environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with young people in an educational or support role
A strong understanding of behaviour management and inclusive practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
