Biology Teacher - Ealing, London

A large and high-achieving secondary school based in Uxbridge is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Biology Teacher to join their successful Science department. This is a long-term role starting as soon as possible, with a contract running until at least July 2026.

This position is full time, but the school is open to part time applications for the right candidate. Working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm. Salary will be paid in line with the Inner London MPS/UPS scale. Onsite parking is available.

Role Overview - Biology Teacher

  • Deliver engaging and challenging biology lessons across KS3-KS5, helping students develop a strong foundation in scientific principles and critical thinking.

  • Inspire curiosity and a love for the natural world by connecting theoretical knowledge with real-life biological applications.

  • Support students in developing practical skills through a range of laboratory investigations and experiments, ensuring high standards of health and safety.

  • Contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking Science department, sharing best practices and supporting continuous improvement.

  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment where all students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and excel in their scientific journey.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in Biology or a related scientific discipline

  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for science education

  • Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities

  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills

  • A team player with a positive and flexible approach
