Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist ASC Provision (Warrington)
Full-Time | Long-Term Role
Tradewind Recruitment are working with a specialist provision in Warrington who are seeking an Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
This role involves supporting a small ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) class of just three students. The pupils are pre-verbal / non-verbal, and while the class size is small, there are significant challenges due to behaviours that can be difficult to manage. For this reason, it is essential that applicants have strong experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour.
The role:
Working as an Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant within a small ASC class
Supporting three students who are pre-verbal / non-verbal
Implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviour and promote engagement
Working closely with the class teacher and other staff to provide consistent support
Helping students to develop communication and social skills in a structured environment
About you:
Must have prior experience working with challenging behaviour (essential)
Patient, resilient, and confident in supporting students with ASC
Team Teach training is desirable (but not essential)
A positive, proactive approach with a genuine commitment to supporting SEN pupils
