Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Tradewind is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Northampton to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher for a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2025. For the right candidate, this role holds the potential to become permanent.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Differentiate resources and approaches to support a diverse range of learners

  • Use effective assessment and feedback to drive student progress

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the English department to enhance curriculum and enrichment opportunities

  • Foster a classroom culture of curiosity, critical thinking, and communication

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified English teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)

  • Excellent subject knowledge with a passion for both classic and contemporary texts

  • A reflective practitioner committed to improving student outcomes

  • Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies

  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to inclusive education

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply and will receive full support and mentorship during their induction.
