Pay Rate: £100-£150 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)

A number of supportive and well-regarded secondary schools in Northampton are looking to appoint English Instructors for September 2025. These long-term roles offer the opportunity to deliver and support English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, while gaining valuable classroom experience in a dynamic school setting.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
Supporting planning and adapting resources to meet diverse learning needs
Helping students develop confidence in reading, writing, and spoken English
Explaining literary and linguistic concepts clearly and effectively
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Managing behaviour calmly and promoting a respectful learning space
Tracking progress and providing constructive feedback to students
Participating in CPD sessions, team meetings, and wider school life
Who We're Looking For:
Graduates with a degree in English, Creative Writing, Linguistics, or a related field
Candidates with any experience in delivering or supporting English education
Individuals passionate about literature, language, and helping students succeed
Confident communicators with strong classroom presence
Those considering teacher training routes such as PGCE, SCITT, or QTS Apprenticeships
Applicants with an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
