We are seeking Team Teach trained support staff to work in Pupil Referral Units (PRUs)!
These roles are ideal for those with a resilient, calm, and compassionate nature who are committed to helping young people re-engage with education.
As a PRU Support Worker, you'll support students who have been excluded from mainstream education due to social, emotional, or behavioural needs. Your role will include:
Providing 1:1 or small group support during lessons
De-escalating challenging behaviour using Team Teach strategies
Building positive relationships and acting as a role model
Supporting learning alongside teachers and SENCOs
Helping students develop social, emotional, and academic skills
Requirements:
Team Teach trained (must be in-date certification)
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs or SEND
Resilience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
