SEN Teaching Assistant - Reception Class (EYFS)

Start Date: November 2025 | Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:00pm | Contract: Term time only, until July 2026 (with potential to continue or become permanent)
Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next role? Our partner mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Southwark is seeking a dedicated SEN TA to join their welcoming EYFS team this November.
You will be supporting a child in the school's Reception class, providing one-to-one assistance both inside and outside the classroom, including personal care. The school is proud of its inclusive ethos and has an excellent reputation for supporting both pupils and staff.
What the school can offer you:
Term time only position, working school hours (8:30am-4:00pm, Mon-Fri)
Contract until July 2026 with the potential to continue in September or secure a permanent contract
Competitive daily rate £95-£100 (based on experience), paid weekly via PAYE through our in-house payroll team
Increase in pay from week 13 to £105-£115 per day
Excellent transport links with local stations nearby plus on-site parking
Supportive EYFS team and access to high-quality training and CPD
What we are looking for:
Previous experience working with children in EYFS or primary settings
Understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
A caring, patient, and proactive approach to learning support
Willingness to assist with personal care when required
Commitment to supporting the child's academic, social, and emotional development
