Food Technician - Secondary School (Newham)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Food Technician to join our friendly secondary school in Newham. Working within a small but dedicated Food Department, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching staff and helping our students succeed in their practical food lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing ingredients, equipment and resources for food technology classes.

• Ensuring classrooms are safe, well-stocked and ready for practical lessons.

• Assisting students and teachers during practical sessions where needed.

• Accurately recording and updating departmental information and findings on the computer.

• Maintaining hygiene, safety and organisation in food preparation areas.

• Good organisational and time management skills.

• Confidence in using computers to input data and update records.

• A practical, hands-on approach with attention to detail.

• Ability to work as part of a small, supportive team.
