Graduate Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Lewisham

Are you a university graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education? We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Lewisham who are seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2025 for the full academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for Psychology graduates, as well as those considering a future career in teaching or educational psychology. The school has a supportive environment, making it a fantastic place to begin your career in education.

Role Details:

  • Position: Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • Location: Lewisham, South East London

  • Start Date: November 2025

  • Contract: Term-time only, full academic year

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

  • Pay: £95 - £105 per day (PAYE, paid weekly through our in-house payroll team)

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting pupils in class across a range of subjects

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to help children reach their full potential

  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management

  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment

  • Gaining invaluable classroom experience - perfect for graduates looking to progress into teacher training or educational psychology
