SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Barking & Dagenham)

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our secondary school in Barking & Dagenham. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs and help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN.

  • Assisting teachers in creating inclusive, engaging, and accessible lessons.

  • Supporting students' emotional, social, and academic development.

  • Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.

  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and resilience in students.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEN (desirable but not essential).

  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.

  • A flexible, proactive, and positive approach to supporting students.
