A specialist Alternative Provision in Wellingborough is offering a unique opportunity for a dedicated apprentice to join their team from October 2025. This full-time role is ideal for anyone looking to start a career in education, particularly in settings that support young people facing behavioural and emotional challenges.

This provision works with students aged 11-16 who have been excluded from mainstream schools and benefit from smaller class sizes, structured routines, and tailored behaviour support.

What the Role Involves:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to help them re-engage with learning

  • Assisting in the delivery of lessons and providing behaviour support throughout the day

  • Helping young people develop social skills, confidence, and emotional self-regulation

  • Participating in your apprenticeship training while learning practical skills in school

  • Working closely with teachers, mentors, and support staff to implement personalised strategies

  • Contributing to a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all students

Who We're Looking For:

  • Someone passionate about working with young people who have complex needs

  • Calm, consistent and able to remain professional in challenging situationsA good listener and communicator who is open to feedback and learning

  • Applicants interested in education, youth work, mentoring, or pastoral care

  • Must either hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS check
