Learning Support Assistant - Wellingborough

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible options available)
Start Date: Immediate or negotiable
Pay: £90-£110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting caring and committed Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work in a variety of educational settings across Wellingborough and the surrounding areas.


About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to students who may have special educational needs, learning difficulties, or require emotional and behavioural support.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to students

  • Adapting learning materials and strategies to suit individual needs

  • Helping students to stay focused and engaged in lessons

  • Supporting pupils with their social, emotional, and behavioural development

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals

This role is ideal for individuals with a background in education, psychology, youth work, or care, or those seeking to gain experience before pursuing a career in teaching or SEN support.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional needs

  • A compassionate, patient, and encouraging approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to different classroom situations

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one via Tradewind)

  • Right to work in the UK
