Learning Mentor - Merton

Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people's lives?
We are looking for a dedicated Learning Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Merton, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to support students' social, emotional, and academic development.

  • Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to put tailored strategies in place.

  • Build positive relationships with students, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical support.

  • Monitor progress and keep accurate records to help track student outcomes.

The School is Looking For:

  • Someone patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people.

  • Experience in a mentoring, youth work, SEN, or pastoral role (school-based experience desirable).

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.

  • A proactive and flexible team player who can adapt to different situations.
