Learning Mentor - Merton
Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people's lives?
We are looking for a dedicated Learning Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in Merton, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to support students' social, emotional, and academic development.
Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to put tailored strategies in place.
Build positive relationships with students, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical support.
Monitor progress and keep accurate records to help track student outcomes.
The School is Looking For:
Someone patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people.
Experience in a mentoring, youth work, SEN, or pastoral role (school-based experience desirable).
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
A proactive and flexible team player who can adapt to different situations.
