Supply EAL Teaching Assistant - Nottingham

Location: Nottingham and surrounding areas
Job Type: Flexible Supply / Day-to-Day / Short & Long-Term
Pay: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: Immediate / Ongoing

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable EAL Teaching Assistant to join our team of supply staff, working across primary and secondary schools in Nottingham. This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with diverse learners and making a positive impact on language development and integration.

Role Overview:

  • Provide targeted support to pupils with EAL needs, both 1:1 and in small groups

  • Assist class teachers in adapting materials and instructions for EAL learners

  • Promote language acquisition and confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing

  • Help integrate EAL pupils into classroom and school life

  • Track progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

  • Work across a range of schools and year groups, depending on need

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting EAL learners in a school setting (primary or secondary)

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) is desirable

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A flexible and proactive approach to supporting diverse learning needs

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
