Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Teaching Assistant looking to support young learners at the very start of their education journey?
Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a modern, well-resourced, and welcoming two-form entry primary school in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, seeking a dedicated Early Years (Reception) Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team from November (after October half term).

This is a full-time position, ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a real difference in a nurturing, forward-thinking environment.

The Role:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to encourage progress, confidence, and independence

  • Help prepare learning materials and maintain an organised, stimulating classroom environment

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being through nurturing relationships

  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and EYFS team to support children's academic and social development

  • Contribute to wider school life and uphold the school's caring, inclusive ethos


This Role Would Suit:

  • An experienced EYFS or Reception Teaching Assistant looking for a modern, supportive setting

  • A passionate individual with relevant childcare or TA qualifications (Level 2 or 3 preferred)

  • Someone who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team and is committed to helping young children thrive

  • Individuals looking to gain valuable experience before teacher training or a long-term career in education
