About the Role:

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you'll work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the setting. You'll lead by example, supporting staff, engaging with families, and maintaining high standards of care, education, and safeguarding across the nursery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Nursery Manager in all operational aspects of the nursery

  • Lead and mentor a team of early years practitioners

  • Help to plan and deliver engaging, child-centred activities in line with the EYFS framework

  • Ensure high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and compliance are maintained at all times

  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider nursery community

  • Step in as Acting Manager when required


About You:

  • Proven experience in a senior practitioner or room leader role

  • A sound understanding of the EYFS and child development

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  • A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to motivate a team

  • Commitment to providing a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment for every child
