We're working with a welcoming primary school in Sheffield seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join their team immediately or from the next half term, on a part-time or full-time basis until July 2026.

About the Role:

  • Position: SENCO (non-class-based)

  • Location: Sheffield

  • Contract: Until July 2026

  • Hours: Flexible - part-time or full-time options available

  • Start Date: ASAP or after half term

This is a non-class-based role, giving you the opportunity to focus fully on coordinating SEND provision, supporting staff, and ensuring every child's individual needs are met. You'll work closely with the SLT, parents, and external agencies to develop effective strategies and uphold the school's inclusive ethos.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing the school's SEND provision.

  • Supporting teachers to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching.

  • Writing and reviewing EHCPs and provision maps.

  • Liaising with external professionals and parents.

  • Monitoring progress and ensuring the best outcomes for all learners.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or is working towards it.

  • Has experience as a SENCO or in a similar leadership role within primary education.

  • Is organised, compassionate, and committed to inclusion and pupil wellbeing.

  • Can build strong relationships and work effectively as part of a supportive team.
