The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that foster a love of reading, writing, and communication.

  • Assess, track, and support student progress in line with school policies.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the English Department and school community through extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.

  • A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject.

  • Enhanced Child Only Dbs - or willingness to pay for one

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • A commitment to raising standards and inspiring a love of learning.
