Job Title: School Food Technician - Full Time (Croydon)
Location: Various Secondary Schools across Croydon
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only (Monday to Friday)
Are you passionate about food, organisation, and supporting young people's learning? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic School Food Technician to join a number of inclusive and welcoming secondary schools across Croydon.
As a Food Technician, you'll play a vital role in assisting teachers and students during food technology lessons, ensuring a smooth, safe, and engaging learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, practical work and has a keen interest in food, nutrition, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, set up, and tidy away equipment and ingredients for practical food lessons
Maintain hygiene, safety, and stock control within the food technology department
Support teachers and students during cooking sessions, offering guidance where needed
Organise ingredients, resources, and displays for lessons and coursework
Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and inspiring learning atmosphere

Experience in a similar role, or a background in food preparation/catering (school experience preferred but not essential)
