Job Title: Finance and Operations Assistant (Remote - Central London School)

Contract: Full-time, Remote (working across two school sites)
Tradewind Education is working with a fantastic school in Central London that is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance and Operations Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and financial skills to play a key role in supporting the school's leadership and operations team.
You will provide vital support to the Headteacher, Operations Manager, and other school colleagues, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial and administrative processes. This position is fully remote, although it will involve working across two school sites virtually.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the school and cluster with all financial accounting processes, ensuring month-end and payroll deadlines are met.
Process purchase requests via Netsuite, ensuring all approvals align with budget and compliance requirements.
Prepare and maintain accurate payment tracking documentation, sharing updates with key stakeholders.
Provide financial data and reports to the Pod Finance Manager, Accounts Payable, Central Billing, and other central functions.
Ensure timely goods receipting of invoices to facilitate prompt supplier payments.
Manage approved purchase orders on behalf of the schools and communicate progress updates to staff.
Maintain the Orders inbox, responding efficiently to queries and ensuring smooth financial operations.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a finance, operations, or administrative support role (school experience desirable but not essential).
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Confident working with financial systems such as Netsuite (training can be provided).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while working remotely.
A professional, team-focused approach with strong communication skills.
