Pastoral Support Worker - Secondary Schools (Full-Time, Bexley)

We are looking for a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join inclusive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Bexley.
About the Role:
As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a key role in promoting students' wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement. You'll work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to provide individualised support, ensuring every student feels valued and understood.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting students with emotional, social, or behavioural needs
Assisting with attendance, punctuality, and safeguarding matters
Building trusting relationships to encourage confidence and self-esteem
Contributing to a positive, safe, and inclusive school environment
Working collaboratively with pastoral and teaching teams to ensure the best outcomes for students
About You:
We're looking for someone who is:
Empathetic, approachable, and patient
Able to communicate effectively with young people and adults
Confident managing challenging situations with calmness and care
Passionate about education and student wellbeing
Experienced in a school or youth work setting (preferred, but not essential)
