Tradewind Recruitment have multiple SEN Supply Teacher positions available across North London schools. As an SEN Supply Teacher you will be responsible for the below:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons for children with a range of special educational needs
  • Developing and implementing individualised learning plans and EHCPs
  • Using specialist teaching strategies, visual supports and structured routines to maximise learning outcomes
  • Adapting curriculum content and resources to meet diverse sensory, communication and learning needs
  • Supporting children's academic progress, social communication skills, confidence, independence and self-advocacy
  • Leading and collaborating with teaching assistants, SENCOs and external professionals
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, keeping detailed records and reports

To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Genuine passion for working with children with SEN and commitment to inclusive education
  • Patience, empathy and ability to build positive relationships with children across the SEN spectrum
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different school settings
  • Experience or willingness to learn SEN-specific strategies and undertake training (full support provided)
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in SEN, autism or related areas (desirable)
  • Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (where applicable) and professional references
  • Complete CV detailing employment history for the previous 10 years where available
  • Valid right to work in the UK
