A well-regarded primary school in Croydon is looking to appoint a full-time Year 2 Class Teacher. This is a classroom teaching role, with flexibility regarding the year group within Key Stage 1 (KS1), and a competitive salary offered in line with experience via PAYE.

Situated in a leafy part of Croydon, this Ofsted 'Good' school is seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing KS1 Teacher to join their welcoming team. The headteacher is particularly keen to appoint a teacher with strong early primary experience who can contribute positively to the school's warm, child-centred environment during this temporary contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class within Key Stage 1

  • Foster a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment

  • Support pupils in developing key literacy and numeracy skills in preparation for end-of-KS1 assessments

  • Assess, record, and report on pupils' progress, development, attainment, and personal and social needs

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire young learners

  • Inspire curiosity and a love of learning in children aged 6-7
