Teaching Assistant - Secondary Schools - Wandsworth
Full-Time | Long-Term | Immediate Start

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join several well-established secondary schools across the Wandsworth borough. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain long-term, full-time experience supporting students in Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for ongoing placements and career development within supportive school environments.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students achieve their full potential. You'll work closely with teachers to deliver targeted support across a range of subjects, assist with classroom management, and provide one-to-one or small-group interventions for students who need additional help. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education, confident working with young people, and looking to build a long-term career in secondary education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons

  • Assisting students with their learning, both in class and in small groups

  • Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion across the school

  • Supporting students with additional learning or emotional needs

  • Contributing to the wider school community and maintaining a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based or voluntary)

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people's learning and development

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Availability for full-time, long-term work
