Unqualified Maths Teacher - Northampton

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: £100-£160 per day (depending on experience and school support)

We are working with several welcoming and inclusive secondary schools across Northampton seeking enthusiastic Unqualified Maths Teachers to join their teams as soon as possible or from January 2026. This is an ideal opportunity for Maths graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with strong numerical or tutoring experience who are looking to step confidently into the classroom.

Your Role:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Support pupils in developing their understanding and enjoyment of Mathematics

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Adapt lessons to meet a range of learning styles and abilities

  • Work collaboratively with qualified teachers and mentors to plan, assess, and reflect

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to school life

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject (or equivalent strong subject knowledge)

  • Some experience working with young people-tutoring, mentoring, or classroom support (preferred but not essential)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Confident, proactive, and organised with a genuine passion for education

  • Eager to learn and develop-ideal for those considering a PGCE, SCITT, or teacher apprenticeship in the future

  • Must have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check
