Wellbeing Support Assistant - Towcester
Tradewind Recruitment are working closely with a forward-thinking secondary school in Towcester to recruit a dedicated Wellbeing Support Assistant. This vital role focuses on supporting the emotional, social, and mental wellbeing of students, helping them to flourish both in and beyond the classroom.
About the role:
You'll work alongside the pastoral and SEN teams to provide one-to-one and small-group interventions that promote resilience, confidence, and positive relationships. You'll help students manage emotional challenges, regulate behaviour, and re-engage with learning.
Responsibilities:
Provide targeted wellbeing and emotional support.
Assist in implementing behaviour and wellbeing plans.
Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive school culture.
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting young people with SEMH needs.
Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
