Chemistry Teacher - ASAP Start - Hounslow, London
A high-achieving and inclusive secondary school for boys based in Hounslow is seeking a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join their science department on a long-term basis, starting as soon as possible. This is a full-time position, though part-time applicants will also be considered. Working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm, and the role will be paid in line with Outer London MPS/UPS pay scales. Role Responsibilities - Chemistry Teacher
* Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons across KS3 to KS5, inspiring curiosity and a passion for science.
* Plan and assess lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry.
* Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations, ensuring strong academic progress.
* Create a safe and engaging laboratory environment that supports hands-on learning and experimentation.
* Contribute to the wider science faculty, collaborating with colleagues to share ideas and best practices.
* Promote the school's ethos of ambition, respect, and achievement through all aspects of teaching and learning.
Qualifications and Person Specification:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A relevant degree in Chemistry or a closely related field
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching science
* Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Commitment to continuous professional development and high standards
