The Role

As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you will:

  • Take full classroom responsibility for a Year 2 class of around 27 enthusiastic pupils
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
  • Work closely with the parallel Year 2 teacher and KS1 team to share ideas and best practice
  • Maintain positive relationships with parents, pupils and colleagues
  • Contribute to the school's creative curriculum and wider enrichment activities

This is a long-term position to start ASAP, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who is:

  • A qualified Primary Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experienced in teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
  • Creative, dynamic and passionate about inspiring young learners
  • Confident with phonics and KS1 assessment frameworks
  • Committed to high standards of teaching and learning
  • A positive team player who contributes to school life
