Job Title: Pastoral Support Worker - Secondary Schools (Full-Time)
Location: Richmond, London
Contract: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support Worker to join a network of inclusive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Richmond.
In this rewarding role, you will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide emotional, behavioural, and social support to ensure every young person feels valued, understood, and empowered to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group pastoral support to students who may be struggling with personal, social, or emotional issues.
Promote positive behaviour, attendance, and engagement in learning.
Support students in developing confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, safeguarding leads, and external agencies to ensure students receive the right support at the right time.
Monitor student progress and contribute to pastoral plans and school wellbeing initiatives.
About You:
You have a genuine passion for working with young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
You are patient, empathetic, and able to build strong, trusting relationships.
You have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Previous experience in a pastoral, youth work, or school-based support role is highly desirable.
