Position: Maths Teacher (KS3 & KS4)

Contract: Fixed-Term (January - July)
Salary: London MPS/UPS

As a Secondary Maths Teacher on supply for this Client, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and examination specifications
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including those with different abilities and learning needs
• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and contribute positively to the school's learning culture

Person Specification & Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification
• A solid track record of teaching Mathematics at KS3 & KS4
• Excellent classroom management skills - ability to maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement
• Experience in planning, assessment, and differentiation
• Enhanced DBS disclosure, and overseas police clearance if applicable
• Professional references covering your last 10 years of employment where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK

This Client is a co-educational, non-selective secondary school in Lambeth, catering for students aged 11-19. The school is part of a well-respected multi-academy trust. According to their most recent Ofsted inspection (June 2022), the school was judged Good in all areas: quality of education; behaviour and attitudes; personal development; leadership and management; and sixth form provision. Although the behaviour policy is clear, inspectors noted that it is not always applied consistently, and that low-level disruption can sometimes affect learning.
