SEN Teaching Assistant - Acton
Immediate Start or January 2026 | Long-Term | Full-Time | 1:1 Support for Child in Year 3 (ASD)
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, well-supported primary school in Acton. The role is to work 1:1 with a Year 3 child with ASD, providing structured support, consistency and emotional regulation throughout the school day. This is a long-term role, starting ASAP or January 2026, with the expectation of continuing for the rest of the academic year.

The Role
Working 1:1 with a child in Year 3 with ASD
Supporting learning in class and adapting activities to meet individual needs
Helping with emotional regulation, transitions and sensory needs
Liaising with the SENCO, class teacher and external professionals
Contributing to EHCP targets and daily progress notes
Full-time Monday-Friday
Requirements
Significant SEN experience, particularly with ASD
Ability to implement strategies such as visual timetables, chunked instructions, sensory breaks and reward systems
Confident supporting learning in KS2
Calm, patient and consistent approach
Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with the child
Commitment to the full academic year
