We are currently seeking dedicated Cover Supervisors for several secondary schools in Daventry, with positions starting immediately and continuing into January and beyond. Role Summary

As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes when teachers are absent. Using pre-prepared lesson plans and resources, you'll ensure students remain focused, engaged, and completing their assigned work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and managing student behaviour across KS3 and KS4

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain on task

  • Promoting a calm, structured classroom environment with positive behaviour

  • Reporting progress, concerns, or incidents to senior staff as needed

  • Supporting wider school routines, including break/lunch duties and corridor monitoring

  • Being a reliable, consistent, and professional presence within the school community

About You

  • Experience working with young people in any setting (schools, coaching, mentoring, youth groups, etc.)

  • Confident in managing behaviour and maintaining a respectful learning atmosphere

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage students

  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to follow prepared lesson plans effectively

  • Comfortable working independently while also being part of a wider school team
