Learning Support Assistant - Daventry
Location: Daventry
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term (with potential to go permanent)
Salary: Competitive daily rate, depending on experience

Our partner secondary schools in Daventry are looking for enthusiastic and supportive Learning Support Assistants to join their teams. These roles are available straight away or from January, and are perfect for anyone who wants to make a real difference to students who need a bit of extra help.

This is a valued position within the school, where you'll be working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to help students get the most out of their learning.

What the Role Involves

  • Supporting students with additional needs, either 1:1 or within small groups

  • Helping pupils stay engaged, focused, and confident in lessons

  • Assisting teachers with adapted resources and classroom organisation

  • Working with students who may have autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or SEMH needs

  • Encouraging independence and positive behaviour throughout the day

  • Contributing to a safe, welcoming and inclusive school atmosphere

We're Looking for Someone Who

  • Has a genuine interest in supporting young people

  • Is patient, calm, and able to build positive relationships quickly

  • Communicates well with staff and students

  • Can adapt to different needs and situations throughout the school day

  • Has experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is helpful but not essential)

  • Is reliable, friendly, and keen to learn new skills
