Year 6 Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a skilled and motivated Year 6 Teacher to join a well-regarded primary school in Hyde from January. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive, forward-thinking school that places a strong emphasis on pupil progress, wellbeing, and high-quality teaching. The role is based on a 4 or 5 day a week basis and will pay MPS1-6.

About the Role

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 6 class as they prepare for their end-of-year SATs. You will be expected to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the curriculum, with a particular focus on raising attainment in Maths, Reading, and Writing. Strong classroom management and the ability to tailor teaching to a range of abilities is essential.

• Proven experience teaching Year 6 and preparing pupils for SATs.
• Strong subject knowledge, particularly in core KS2 areas.
• A target-driven approach with the ambition to raise attainment and support pupils to reach their full potential.
• Excellent planning, assessment, and organisational skills.
• A reflective practitioner who is committed to continuous improvement and professional development.

Support in the Classroom

You will work alongside an experienced and highly effective Teaching Assistant who:

• Has strong, positive relationships with pupils.
• Will lead on targeted interventions and small-group support.
• Understands the specific academic and emotional needs of Year 6 learners.
